Rachel Parnell is an ISCP graduate and tutor. She is the Registered Manager of a care home in South Gloucestershire & lives with her two whippet crosses, Carrie & Erin. Rachel adopted her first lurcher,
Little did she know how adopting Carrie was going to change her life for ever & for the better! Two years later Rachel started fostering for EGLR, initially one foster dog at a time & then this increased to two. In June 2013 she ‘failed’ with foster number 29, Erin, who she adopted, so this means Rachel now only fosters one dog at a time, alongside caring for her own two girls. Rachel also set up and co-ordinates the EGLR Volunteer Home-Check & Transportation Database and at weekends she is often found attending events promoting the work of the rescue & raising funds. She is actively involved with The Animal Team Volunteer Home-check Network and is a member of the Dog Welfare Alliance (DWA).
Rachel is qualified in Pet First Aid & is always seeking to develop her knowledge & skills. She undertook the ISCP Diploma in order to be in a more informed position to help, understand & care for her foster dogs. Rachel feels really privileged to be a part of the ISCP family, full of warm & compassionate people.
