Our relationships with dogs can be greatly enhanced if we take a little time to understand them. Because many people would like to know more about dog behaviour without having to study long-term, write essays or gain a qualification, Dale McLelland and I developed The Dog’s BFF Award.

This short, easy course consists of an illustrated PDF book and a multiple choice questionnaire. All you have to do is read the book, send in your answers to the questions, and you’ll be sent your award certificate. You can join the Facebook group, too. The course fee is low – the price of a book – to make it accessible to everyone.

In the month since we launched the course, several rescues have started offering it to their fosterers and adopters and others are recommending it. The feedback has been hugely enthusiastic.
